Avoid debt like the plague

Hi, my name is Dee and I am starting this blog to encourage individuals who are recovering from debt situations to share their thoughts and stories to help others along the way. My passion is to help those who have not yet engaged in the frivolous use of credit cards, (borrowing from friends, buying stuff on 'rent to own' deals, etc) to avoid it where possible. If I cannot afford something I just leave it alone until I save enough to buy it cash. Needless to say that was not always the case but I have learnt my lesson and wish now that someone was there to guide me before I dug the hole I did. Would you like to share your experience? What do you think about this concept?
